Membership Rules

• Any person desirous to be a Member of the Association under one or the other of the classes of membership and possessing the requisite eligibility shall make an application, in the form, to the Secretary of the Association, setting out the particulars required and accompanied by the requisite membership fee of the Association.
• Every application will be reviewed by the Executive Council.
• The Executive Council shall have the absolute discretion to accept or reject any application without giving any reasons for the same.
• In case the entire application or application in a specific category is not accepted, the entire membership fee or the difference in membership fee, if any, forwarded therewith shall be refunded to the applicant concerned.
• The membership of the Association is by application, and not by the right of fulfilling the qualification of any respective member class.
• The Executive Council may change the above fee structure from time to time, keeping in view the best interests of the Association.

The signatories to the Memorandum of Association shall be the founder members of the Society. Such members are entitled to all the privileges of a Elite member and shall form the 1st Executive Council.

• Any person with a recognized bachelor’s degree in Dentistry in India and has entered his or her name in any State Council Register or appropriate licensing authorities that make them eligible to practice dentistry in India and having completed postgraduation in Orofacial pain, or completed at least 400 hours of accredited education in the field of Orofacial pain, TMDs and Dental sleep medicine.*Credit hours in the field earned during postgraduation can also be included. • They will be eligible to vote and contest for all the posts for the executive council in the general body meeting.
• They can avail discounts on conferences and educational resources.
• Subscription fee: One-time payment of Rs. 10000

• Any person with a recognized bachelor’s degree in Dentistry in India and has entered his or her name in any State Council Register or appropriate licensing authorities that is make them eligible to practice dentistry in India and having completed at least 150 hours of accredited education in the field of ‘Orofacial Pain, TMDs and Dental sleep medicine’. Credit hours in the field earned during postgraduation can also be included. *Allocation Of Additional Credit Hours
• They will be eligible to vote and contest for all the posts in the executive council except for the post of President, Secretary, or Treasurer in the general body meeting.
• They can avail discounts on conferences and educational resources.
• Subscription fee: One-time payment of Rs. 8000.

• Any person with a recognized Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry / Medicine in India and has entered his or her name in any State Council Register or appropriate licensing authorities that make them eligible to practice dentistry/medicine in India.
• They will not be eligible to attend, vote, or contest for elections in the general body meeting.
• They can avail discounts on conferences and educational resources.
• Subscription fee: One-time payment of Rs. 4000

• Any person with a recognized paramedical degree in India, like Physiotherapists, Nurses, Dental/Medical Technicians etc, and has entered his or her name in any State Council Register or appropriate licensing authorities in India.
• They will not be eligible to attend, vote, or contest for elections in the general body meeting.
• They can avail discounts on conferences and educational resources.
• Subscription fee: One-time payment of Rs. 2000.

• Dental, medical, and paramedical professionals residing outside India and practicing, researching, or showing interest in orofacial pain.
• International Life Members shall not be eligible to attend, vote, or contest for elections in the general body meeting.
• They can avail discounts on conferences and educational resources.
• Subscription fee: One-time payment of $300.

• The Executive Council may nominate any person or persons, for such period as may be stipulated by the Executive Council, as Honorary Member or Members.
• Honorary Members shall not be required to pay any subscription fee and shall not be eligible to attend, vote, or contest for elections in the general body meeting.

• Undergraduate students studying in any recognized dental college in India are eligible.
• Student members are not eligible to attend, vote, or contest for elections in the general body.
• Subscription fee: One-time payment of Rs. 500.
• Student membership will be valid until the person graduates and completes the internship.
• Postgraduate students should apply for affiliate life membership.

• Postgraduates of OMDR and OMFS can claim 75 credit hours for the Orofacial pain education they received during their post-graduation
• Postgraduates of Prosthodontics and Orthodontics can claim 50 credit hours for the Orofacial pain education they received during their post-graduation.
• Dentists with education in Dental Sleep Medicine can claim a maximum of 50 credit hours for their education from any accredited Dental Sleep Medicine program.

Orofacial pain Programs which follow holistic ideology of concepts of Orofacial pain, that are conducted by any University globally or by a recognized Orofacial Pain association abroad or by Diplomates of the American Board of Orofacial Pain/equivalent, will be considered accredited programs for claiming credit hours. Executive council decision will be final in considering education accredited.

A member, on acquiring the requisite qualification, can upgrade the type of membership by applying for it with the requisite documents, and by payments of the difference in membership fee.
